Firmware Development

DWare has worked on a range of low level firmware products. We have developed solar power regulation control software. This includes software for power regulation control logic and RS-232 and CAN communications. We have worked on touch screen interfaces to give users direct and simple control of the hardware while providing a modern and attractive appearance. Automated testing firmware has been created to help with validation of production units and to speed up troubleshooting of faulty units.

Autonomous Quadcopter Application

One of our clients engaged us to develop an autonomous drone to be used as an action camera outdoors around water and other obstacles. One of the main issues with this project was the flight time of the drone, as standard drones are only able to fly for a maximum of 15-18 minutes. Additionally we found that the default firmware that was available for our quadcopter did not have all of the capabilities that were required for our project. Our solution to these problems was to take the existing firmware and alter it to give our quadcopter the capabilities our client requested. We are working closely with our clients and making every effort to fully understand their requirements and in doing so we hope to be able to help develop an intelligent future.
